The Nokia 6300 comes with a combination of stainless steel covers and glossy expensive plastic. Thus, it is quite robust in its feel, though slim at 12mm deep. The device comes with relatively large 30mm wide by 40mm tall screen, that can display up to 16 million. Thus, reading of texts or viewing of pictures/ graphics are a real treat to eyes. In terms of keypad design, the Nokia 6300 scores good enough. It comes with large keys for fast and error free typing. One of the noteworthy feature of the device is that it has blue lights on either side of it, that glow when there is an unread text message.

Nokia 6300 runs on Series 40 user interface. Which means it provides a very easy usage for navigation and operation. One tap of the Menu button, and you are straight into the Menu. You can view them as icons, tabs or lists. You also have the option to re-arrange the Menu system as per the frequency of usage.

The handset also boasts a camera, a music player, a video player, an FM radio and a voice recorder. The 2 MP camera comes with several settings, including a timer and night mode. Other features which make Nokia 6300 a delight is Bluetooth, GPRS/ EDGE and Web browser or the Opera Mini Web browser that comes pre-installed. The phone also comes with many PIM functionalities to enable you organise your personal and professional life.
